A specially bound bespoke copy of the first UK edition (was published the preceding year in the USA). Bound in blue calf leather with calf onlays portraying a comic-style face and head in profile. Light rubs to the edges. Inscribed by the author to [I believe] Helene Knobel, dated 1937, underneath a cut out of the portrait image from the front cover of the original dust jacket, on a free front endpaper.
