Hardback with dust jacket. New edition of 1949. Original blue boards. Slight bruising to spine ends and a couple of corners. Binding is firm. A few spots to outer closed textblock page edges but pages are otherwise clean. A gift inscription written on the front endpaper (dated 1953). The dust jacket is rubbed and chipped at the spine ends and corners, with a few short tears. Front flap not price clipped. pp. x, 452. The dust jacket is supplied by us in a loose protective clear archival film sleeve. This does not adhere to the book or jacket in any way and it protects the jacket against wear. 033870
