Hollinghurst, Alan Chatto and Windus London 1988 0701132825 / 9780701132828 Hardcover Good Very Good Book
Hardback with dust jacket. 3rd impression. In good condition but the pages have significantly tanned / browned, particularly at the edges. A forwards lean to the spine but binding firm. Dust jacket is a little faded at the spine. No previous owner's names or inscriptions. The book comes from the collection of the late film producer, Hercules Bellville, and includes a type-written letter to him, addressed to him at the Recorded Picture Company, London, 1988. The letter is from literary agents Aitken and Stone and makes mention of the book's success and 'Gielgud's interest in playing Lord Nantwich'. Bellville joined the Recorded Picture Company in 1984, later became a director there and remained with the company for 25 years. 308306
