Volume I only. In her preface the author writes that she has written this history 'for a real little Arthur' and this copy is inscribed on a front free ene page to 'Arthur Frederick Warren, July 29th 1835, from his very affectionate friend, Maria Callcott.' The textblock is still quite firm but this little book LACKS BOARDS / BINDING. Marble endpapers and the reverse of the f.e.p. has hand-written notes by previous owner / seller. Free endpaper with author's inscription also has another's previous owner's name at the top edge in small, neat writing. Some quite heavy foxing to the prelims and first few pages; lighter occasional spots to pages throughout. pp. vii, 228. 14.3 x 9cm. All edges are gilt but there is a small stain to the top outer closed textblock page edge.
