Hardback. 1905 pocket edition. Wild Wales was first published in 1901. Original green cloth, blind stamped pattern to boards, gilt decoration to spine and to centre of the upper board. Top edge gilt. Green ribbon page marker (frayed ends). Thin paper. In nice, clean condition; very light rubs to extremities only. Previous owner's name written neatly at the top edge of the front endpaper (C. F. Hawkes, Nov. 5 1925 - this copy came from the collection of the archaeologist Christopher Hawkes). Endpapers and pastedowns browned. Frontis. illustration with tissue guard. pp. xxxi, 733, 16 [publisher's lists]. 17cm tall. An attractive little copy.
