Hardback, no dust jacket. Pictorial boards with orange cloth spine. The boards are rubbed at the edges, a couple of small marks to the spine, but overall quite clean boards. Publication date not stated but is c. 1953. No previous owner's names or inscriptions. Small mark on the front endpaper (not easily visible due to the illustration). Many monochrome illustrations throughout and a few colour plates. The plate facing page 33 has a tear at the bottom edge, next to the spine, of approx. 4cm. Pages are clean and the binding is firm. pp. 125.
