Hardback, with dust jacket. First edition. Original red boards with black titles. Bumps to the bottom corners of the boards and light bruising to the spine ends. Some foxing to the outer closed textblock page edges, to first and last few pages and light sporadic spots to pages. The binding is firm. No previous owner's names or inscriptions. 8 colour plates. pp. 192, plates. List of titles opposite the title page ends with Biggles Follows On. Copyright page 'First printed 1953'. The dust jacket is rubbed, chipped and creases at the edges, with some very small loss to the corners and spine ends, short nicks and an approx. one inch tear to the top edge of the back cover at the join with the rear DJ flap. Printed price on the front flap of 7/6. Back cover of the dust jacket is 'A letter to everyone who reads this book'. The dust jacket is supplied by us in a loose protective clear archival film sleeve. This does not adhere to the book or jacket in any way and protects the jacket against wear.
