Pictorial-paper-covered boards. Flexible boards. Date of publication not stated, but is 1916. Stapled binding - 2 staples in the spine. The staples have rusted, with corresponding rust marks around the outsides of the staples and the centre pages are slightly loosening. Some foxing and occasional thumbing marks to the pages. Some pages and illustrations have a c. half centimeter pale water-type mark to the bottom edge. The colour illustrations are otherwise in nice clean condition. A gift inscription inside the front cover reads, 'Joyce, with best love from Daddy, Xmas 1917'. No other writing inside. The boards are generally rubbed and creased. Overall, a fairly good example of this charming and scarce Ernest Aris title.
