Privately published. Blue cloth binding, with gilt stamped motif to the front board of table and chair on raised platform. There are some light marks to the boards and the spine has faded. Top edge gilt. Other edges deckled / untrimmed. Inscribed by the author on the front endpaper; inscription reads 'To A.A.F.H. from C.M.W., July 15th 1926'. Some foxing to the outer closed textblock edges. The binding is firm and pages otherwise clean. Mostly poetry extracts, with the original on one side of the page and the Greek facing. Preface: 'During thirty-three years spend at Eton I have served under three different Head Masters, and for the last twenty-nine years have had the honour of helping them with the work of Division I. This has entailed the writing of a good number of "fair copies" in Greek, some of which I have now ventured to have printed privately and sent to some of my friends, to two of whom... I am especially indebted... I hope that any former member of Division I, who happens to cast eye upon these Versions, may feel the same happiness in his memories of that Division as the author of this work.'
