Small, pocket-sized, hardback Birthday book, for recording people's birthdays. Date uncertain (not stated inside); there is a gift inscription on the front endpaper dated 1931. Some foxing throughout and other brown marks to the first few pages. A few dates have names filled-in for birthdays, in different handwriting styles. Each month has a full page Margaret Tarrant colour plate - plates are generally quite clean, possibly a little greyed; July has some very pale blue stains (from a water splash I suspect) which aren't overly noticeable as they blend with the colours of the illustration. December's illustration has a small chip to the top edge of the page, a tape repair by a previous owner to the underside of the plate, approx 1.5 inch tear, and a small tape mark to the edge of the front of the illustration, next to the spine. Unpaginated. The pale blue cloth boards are generally greyed and lightly grubby (no significant stains), and are lightly rubbed at the spine ends. 13.7 x 10cm. 308794
