Hardback, lacks dust jacket. Original blue boards. First published in 1930; this is a later reprint from 1950. Pale blue boards have heavy foxing, a dulled and faded spine, small dark mark to the rear board, bumps to corners, bruises to spine ends and a forwards lean to the spine. Both pastedowns have visible vertical creases but the creasing is not visible to the outside of the boards. Inner hinges are very good. Previous owner's name in biro at the top edge of the front endpaper. Brief gift inscription written in pencil below. The bottom corner (about a sixth of the page) of the front endpaper has been torn away. Heavy foxing to the outer closed textblock page edges. A few grubby brown marks to pages and some sporadic foxing to pages. The binding is firm. pp. 318. 106863
