Publisher's original navy blue boards. Yellow Gollancz dust jacket (with Book Society Choice and Book of Month Club Alternate Choice printed on the front cover). Spine of the dust jacket slightly darkened and there is quite a large pale mark to the front cover. There are some short nicks and small chips to the top edge of the DJ and a couple of longer tears to the bottom edge, with chips. Binding firm. Previous owner's signature on the front endpaper. Pages are slightly age-toned but in otherwise clean condition. Dust jacket not price clipped. 246pp. Spy novel. The dust jacket is supplied by us in a loose protective clear archival film sleeve. This does not adhere to the book or jacket in any way and protects the jacket against wear. 307227

Yates, Dornford Hodder and Stoughton London 1942 Hardcover Good Fair Book 12mo - over 6 - 7" tall
Hardback with dust jacket. 8th edition. Blue boards. No names or inscriptions. Some foxing and general greying to the outer closed textblock edges. 217 Perishable Goods
Yates, Dornford Hodder and Stoughton Limited London 1940 Hardcover Good Good Book 12mo - over 6 - 7" tall
Hardback with dust jacket. Reprint. 13th impression (April 1940). Original blue boards. There are some minor speckles and marks to the boards under the dust jacket. A very slight forwards lean to the spine. A plain rectangle of paper has been pasted on the rear pastedown - it does not look like it is covering any marks so this is a mystery; a few minor grey marks to this page. Otherwise very good. The binding is firm and inner hinges are very good. No previous owner's names or inscriptions. The dust jacket is quite bright and clean but the rear flap has been trimmed to the long edge, affecting text advertising other novels on the rear flap. Otherwise just a few light rubs to DJ edges and a short nick to the bottom edge. pp. 310, + a few pages of publisher's lists. A very little light foxing to the outer closed textblock page edges. The dust jacket is supplied by us in a loose protective clear archival film sleeve. This does not adhere to the book or jacket in any way and it protects the jacket against wear. (Photographed without the film sleeve, to minimise reflection). 309462
Price: 15.00 GBP
