Boards and spine are in very good condition but there is a very light crease visible towards the top of the rear board. The boards curve outwards very slightly at the corners and there are a couple of tiny rust spots to the rear board. The pages are nice and clean but there are a few very light handling creases to some pages. Two pages have a tiny nick in the bottom edge. The first page of the second story, The Fishing Net, has a small rubbed patch where binding glue has seeped onto the top edge and stuck two pages together, approx 1cm x 0.5cm right next to the spine (not particularly noticeable). Slim unpaginated volume. Last two pages contain other Ladybird titles published up to 1941, including three Wonk titles - this one; Strawberries and Cream, with Adventure in the Night; and Fireworks, with The Diamond Ring Affair. The dust jacket is worn and torn, with an approx. one inch tear to the top edge of the front cover, creasing to the front flap, rear flap detached and another long tear to the rear flap, some creasing and a shorter tear to the back cover and then loss to the bottom edge of the back cover, approx. 6cm x 5cm.
