Hardback with dust jacket. First edition. The book is in good condition but with foxing to the first and last few pages and to the outer closed textblock page edges. A gift inscription (dated 1944) written in ink on the front pastedown. Dust jacket has heavy foxing (more visible to the underside than to the outside). Rubs to the DJ edges, with a few tears, greyish marks, loss to the bottom edge of the front cover, and a mark to the top edge of the front cover from an old price sticker. Front flap not price clipped. The dust jacket is supplied by us in a loose protective clear archival film sleeve. This does not adhere to the book or jacket in any way and protects the jacket against wear. 106852

Hardback with dust jacket. First edition. Original dark green boards. Quite a heavy bump to the bottom corner of the front board; lighter bumps to other corners. The binding is firm. No previous owner's names or inscriptions. Pages have significantly browned. pp. 350. The dust jacket has marks to the flap from where a previous dust jacket cover was sellotaped to the dust jacket flaps. Some foxing to the dust jacket, the spine has faded, light rubs and chips to edges. Dust jacket not price clipped. The dust jacket is supplied by us in a loose protective clear archival film sleeve. Hardback, with dust jacket. First impression of this new and enlarged illustrated edition of 1933. Original green cloth. Both the book and dust jacket are in very good clean condition. There is a very slight forwards lean to the spine. Neat gift inscription (dated 1933) written on the front endpaper. There are just a couple of foxing spots to the outer closed textblock edges and to preliminary pages (very few). The binding is nice and firm and pages clean. The dust jacket has a very few small foxing spots and is browned at the spine. A flattened crease to the front flap of the dust jacket; not price clipped. pp. xiv, 242.
