Hardback, lacks dust jacket. Original red boards have some grey / discolouration marks. Previous owner's bookplate on the half-title page. Some pale grubby / greyish marks to outer closed textblock page edges. The binding is firm and text pages are clean. pp. 288. 309256

Blyton, Enid ; with illustrations by Stuart Tresilian Macmillan and Co Ltd 1955 First Edition Hardcover Good Good Book 8vo - over 7 - 9" tall Tresilian, Stuart 
Hardback with dust jacket. First edition but with a dust jacket from a slightly later edition. Printed price on the front flap of the DJ of 11s 6d. net (with a printed strikethrough of earlier price of 10s 6d net). Pictorial cloth. There are some grubby marks to the boards (no heavy stains), a forwards lean to the spine and the cloth is worn quite thin at the spine. A small rub to the bottom edge of the front board and light rubs to corners. No previous owner's names or inscriptions. There are a few minor grubby handling marks to page margins and some marks to outer closed textblock page edges. The binding is firm and hinges good. The dust jacket has an old tape repair to the underside, several tears and quite a long tear the front flap join; small chips to the edges, with some minor loss, and the jacket is a little faded at the spine. Although the printed price is still present, the bottom corner of the front dust jacket flap has been clipped. pp. viii, 277. The dust jacket is supplied by us in a loose protective clear archival film sleeve. This does not adhere to the book or jacket in any way and it protects the jacket against wear. 307709

Hardback, lacks dust jacket. 6th impression. Pictorial cloth boards. The boards have just a few foxing spots (very few), slightly discoloured spine, with a couple of small pale marks to the spine. The binding is firm and square. Boards lightly bruised at spine ends and corners. Previous owner's name and address written on the front endpaper. Pages are nice and clean throughout. pp. viii, 319. 309297

The binding is firm. Bruising to the spine ends and corners of the boards. No previous owner's names or inscriptions. A few pages have a very short tear to the bottom of the page margin, next to the spine. Pages are clean throughout. pp. viii, 327. 309296

The binding is nice and firm and pages clean and fresh. No previous owner's names or inscriptions. There are just a few small foxing spots to the top outer closed textblock page edge. No foxing to other edges or to pages. pp. 190. The dust jacket has several tear at the spine, with some small loss; a few other tears to edges, and rubs, creases, chips and nicks to the edges also.
