Burgundy red buckram library bindings. Top edges gilt. Complete in 2 volumes. Ex-municipal reference library volumes, i.e. these volumes were held in the library for reference only, not for loan. Library bookplate on the front pastedowns and shelf classification marks at the top edges of the front pastedowns. Blind embossed oval library identification stamp to many pages, mostly to the top margins. Plate II in Volume I has a repaired tear to the top edge; repaired with what looks like a conservation grade paper repair tissue. Contents complete - meet collation. pp. 163 [+ Plates I-LXI]; 128 [+ Plates LXII-CX]. Plates printed in sepia tones, showing numbered artefacts and with descriptions at the bottom of each plate. 33.5cm tall. Faint blind embossed oval library stamp at the top edge of many pages, including plates. Otherwise very clean condition. Pages and plates nice and bright.
