Colour frontispiece illustration and 5 further colour plates. List of Biggles titles on the reverse of the half-title page ends with Biggles Takes Charge, plus 2 Omnibus titles. The dust jacket is in poor condition, though the front cover is quite clean. Long tears to the front cover spine joint and the back cover has completely detached from the spine. The long tears were all repaired by a previous owner with an acidic sellotape which had yellowed, stained the dust jacket and gone brittle with age. This brittle has now been carefully removed but brown stains where the tape used to be remain and the paper is brittle where the tape has been removed. One long tear to the underside of the jacket's back cover has had a later repair with a paper repair tape. The jacket is largely complete - chips to edges and corners. Rubs to the edges and some creasing. Printed price on the front dust jacket flap of 8s 6d. Brief synopsis on the front dust jacket flap, Biggles Omnibus editions advertised on the rear dust jacket flap and the back cover has a list of Biggles titles, to no. 46, plus Comrades in Arms. The dust jacket is supplied by us in a loose protective clear archival film sleeve. This does not adhere to the book or jacket in any way and protects the jacket against wear. 105975
