A little religious treatise in contemporary leather binding. The front board is detached. General rubs and wear to the boards. Complete in itself though appears to be part of a larger work. Title page, half-title page. Pagination begins on the half-title at p.255, concluding with a 'Finis' at p. 369. There follows two pages of publisher's other titles. 15.5 x 9.5cm. The first 50 pages are quite browned; the latter 70 pages are brighter, perhaps a different paper quality. Tiny burn hole in p. 255/6. Other minor marks commensurate with age but nothing significant. Book Belongs To box filled in and that page has some pencil scribbles and the stars on the page have been coloured in with biro, with some more biro and crayon colouring in to the Magic Star diagram. Some biro marks to the Contents page. Not price clipped. Some crayoning to pages 12-17. Some biro scribbles to page 21 - How to Make a Paper Butterfly page. General handling creases to pages. Painting pages have been completed - a bit untidy, with colour bleed to pages either side. Page 67-68 has a tears, with loss to the bottom edge next to the spine (a painting page). Some pages have flattened creases to the top corners where they have been folded over. A couple of short tears in the bottom edge of page 89-90. It generally appears faded but I think the printing is just a less vibrant colour than the earlier Hodder editions.
