Hardback with dust jacket. First edition. War economy standard book production. Original green boards with red titles. The boards are slightly faded at the edges, with a particularly faded patch, approx. one inch in size at the head of the spine (corresponds with a tear to the dust jacket). The binding is nice and firm and pages are clean. No previous owner's names or inscriptions. There is some wrinkling to the frontispiece colour illustration. The paper quality of the frontis. illustration is quite thin which is probably the cause of the wrinkling. No other sign of wrinkling or marks to other pages. pp. 126. When Sandypaws the Rabbit was kidnapped by Bandit Rat, the folk of Fern Wood were in an uproar. They had suffered themselves from the wicked Rat, and they were sorry for poor Mrs Sandypaws, left to fend for eight little rabbits. The kind-hearted mice, Mr Tittlewit and Mr. Pippington, made a plan to foil the Rat.' And so, an Insect Zoo was created... The dust jacket is complete, has a tear at the head of the spine, a few other short tears to edges and few small and light marks overall. Front flap not price clipped.
