Hardback, no dust jacket. Pictorial boards. In only FAIR condition. First edition. The spine has been repaired to the full length with acid-free archival repair tissue. This goes over the top of an old sellotape repair - the old brittle tape has been removed but staining from the sellotape remains along the length of the spine. There is also loss to the spine, approx. 5.5cm. at the top end and a previous owner has typed a small strip where the title goes so you can read the title of the book. Heavy foxing to the endpapers and pastedowns. No previous owner's names or inscriptions. The binding is firm and inner hinges are good. Plates are quite clean; there are just a couple of foxing spots to a few plates and some very light creasing to a couple of plates. pp. 34, plates. 106756

A Dean's Rag book. Fluffidown - this should be a soft brushed cotton but this particular book is an ordinary Dean's rag cloth book; not as thick and fluffy as other Fluffidown books I have seen. Publication date not stated but estimated to be c. 1916. It was first published in 1907 and this edition was first published in 1914/15 and was in print until 1919. 12 pages including the covers. A washable cloth book, safe for babies. Pinked edges and zig zag sewn binding. Edges are frayed. This book has been well-loved and washed so the covers and pages have all faded. The book is washed and clean. A few very small pale brown marks. One page has been lovingly darned at the bottom corner (which I find charmingly endearing!) - it is the page showing Indian Ducks and Guinea-Pigs on the reverse. 205 x 165mm. 106895
