This book features a picture of a toy on each page with the name underneath printed in clear lowercase text. Printed on-sided to prevent distraction, so when you turn the page you only see one image. 11 toys are featured - tricycle, roundabout, golliwog, Noah's ark, doll's house, pedal car, wigwam, doll and tea-set, jig-saw puzzle, cooking set, puppets. Two separate volumes offered together as a pair. Adventure Number One and Adventure Number Two. Both are first impressions and are in similar condition. Pictorial boards with matching dust jackets. Both boards are quite clean, though just slightly discoloured / tanned at the very edges and some light rubs to the edges. Both are rubbed at the spine ends and corners, with minor bumps to a few corners. Firmly bound. Both volumes have a previous owner's name stamp on the half-title page (two stamps in Adventure Number One). Pages are otherwise mostly very clean; there are a few very light pale handling marks to a few pages but no particularly noticeable marks. Each volume has 48 pages. Beautifully illustrated. Both dust jackets are a bit tatty; both are a bit discoloured / yellowed and darker at the very edges. Both jackets have been price clipped and both have short tears, rubs, small chips and some creasing to the edges. Adventure Number One has some flattened creases to the rear dust jacket flap. Number One also has a small abrasion to the surface of the dust jacket in the middle of the green car illustration on the front cover. There are two small brown marks on the front cover and a few small brown marks on the back cover. Pages are tanned, if darkened. Binding firm. No previous owner's names or inscriptions. Flattened crease to the top corner of the title page. Price of 1/- on the back cover. Illustrations are not credited to Olive F.
