Law Society binding, bookplate on the front pastedown, some circular stamps to pages, and presentation inscription inside. Complete with 26 plates, as required, including 2 folding maps. Plate XIII has been used as a frontispiece and the plate has cracked near the spine, from handling. All of the other plates, including the two maps, have been bound in at the back of the book. Marbled endpapers and page edges. Rather unusually this copy has an original advertisement sheet, for the publication by subscription of the book, bound into the front of the book just before page 1; rarely seen, this is a nice addition.
