Binding firm and pages bright. No previous owner's names, inscriptions or other marks. No handling creases to pages. Printed price of 2/6 inside. Tally of over 180 available Ladybird titles mentioned on the back cover (I believe the first edition had a tally of 150). No other titles listed on the back. 105272

Hardback. Matt pictorial boards. Revised edition; original edition was first published in 1965 and the revised edition was first published in 1971. This looks like a c. 1972 edition but then has a printed price of 30p on the back cover which indicates later than 1972. A tiny brown mark to the front cover. Very slight rubs to the head of the spine and a bump to the base of the spine. The binding is firm and tight. In excellent condition inside - no previous owner's names or inscription; no handling creases to pages; pages are fresh and bright. pp. 52. Printed 10-digit ISBN number and price of 30p on the back cover. No tally. The last title listed on the back is The Telephone. 307281

Boards are matt black, with yellow panel to the back cover, yellow cog bottom left and titles in white. The boards are slightly bowed, with a slight outward curve. A little rubbed at the spine ends and spine edges and there is a really small hole in the front board (as though from a compass point) which has not gone right through the front board but looks as though it has when viewed from the front. Clean and tight inside. No previous owner's names, inscriptions or other marks. No handling creases to pages. Printed ISBN number, barcode and price of 60p on the back cover. 52pp. 105271
