Hardback without dust jacket. Original green boards. A large faded / pale patch to the rear boards. Light rubs and bruising to spine ends. Previous owner's signature in pencil on the front endpaper and tiny initials in ink at the top edge of the f.e.p. 40th thousand. Pages have tanned / darkened at the edges and there are a few light foxing spots. A very slight forwards lean to the spine. Binding firm. pp. xii, 448, 16. Heavy foxing and browning to the publisher's catalogue pages at the back of the book. A good reading copy.
