Publisher London Victor Gollancz Ltd 1948

Inventory No. 306662

Hardback with dust jacket. First published in September 1941; this is the 11th impression, May 1948. Original green boards. There is a slight bend to the boards and small faded patches at the spine ends. Previous owner's signature and place on the front endpaper. Some foxing to the endpapers and very light spots to the outer closed textblock edges. Cheap paper quality means the pages have browned / tanned. The dust jacket is significantly foxed, faded and has a stain to most of the spine region. Rubs, chips and short tears to the dust jacket edges, with minor loss. The 4/- Cheap Edition. 206pp. The dust jacket is supplied by us in a loose protective clear archival film sleeve. This does not adhere to the book or jacket in any way and it protects the jacket against wear.
