The Wayside and Woodland series. Hardbacks with dust jackets. Original blue boards. One dust jacket is good; the other only fair condition. Bindings are firm and pages clean. Volume I, the First Series, has a previous owner's signature on the front pastedown and date (Christmas 1953) written neatly at the top edge of the front endpaper. Volume II, the Second Series, has just the date (Christmas 1953) written at the top edge of the front endpaper. No names or inscriptions in Vol. II. Some light foxing to the endpapers and pastedowns. The first volume has a very worn and torn dust jacket, rubbed and chipped at all edges and spine and some marks from old sellotape repairs to the underside of the jacket (tape now removed). The second volume has rubs to all edges, a few rubs to spine and some short tears and chips to the edges. Both dust jackets price clipped. pp. 408, 381. The dust jacket is supplied by us in a loose protective clear archival film sleeve. This does not adhere to the book or jacket in any way and it protects the jacket against wear. A HEAVY set - packaged weight may exceed 1KG, in which case a postage supplement will apply outside the UK as this set costs more to send than our standard postage rate will cover. NO additional charges for sending within the UK.
