Otherwise, binding firm. p. 256 - last index page - has a stamp to say complimentary copy. From the collection of the archaeologist Christopher Hawkes (1905-1992) and bears his signature and date (1941) on the front endpaper, with a note to say 'review in Antiquary'. Some handwritten notes loosely enclosed at the back of the book. pp. 256.
