Hardback with dust jacket. First impression. Signed by the author on the title page, without inscription / dedication. Original black boards. There is some foxing to the outer closed textblock page edges. The dust jacket is faded at the spine and edges and there is a short tear to the jacket at the head of the spine. There is a signed by the author at Waterstone's sticker on the front of the dust jacket. The binding is firm and square. Dust jacket not price clipped. pp. xxxi, 717. The dust jacket is supplied by us in a loose protective clear archival film sleeve. This does not adhere to the book or jacket in any way and protects the jacket against wear.
