Edition First Edition

Hardback with worn and torn dust jacket. Original black boards. First edition. No names or inscriptions. The binding is firm and pages clean, if slightly tanned / darkened. The dust jacket is very worn - long tear to back cover, rubbed and chipped at the edges, with loss to spine and corners. DJ not price-clipped. 319pp. Historical novel based on the life of Lady Mary Wortley Montagu, daughter of the Earl (later Duke) of Kingston. The dust jacket is supplied by us in a loose protective clear archival film sleeve. This does not adhere to the book or jacket in any way and it protects the jacket against wear. Like most of our stock, we have this book at a lower price in our shop premises if you would like to call in.
