Blind stamped floral scroll pattern to lower board and gilt caricatures and titles to spine. The binding is firm and hinges are good. The cloth is faded at the spine, with bruising to spine ends. Corners lightly rubbed. Top edge gilt. Pages are mostly in very good, clean condition. Occasional very minor mark and a pale grubby mark on pages 181-2. Some light foxing to endpapers and pastedowns. Bound in at the front is Punch's Almanack for 1922, which includes colour illustrations. Pagination then follows as pp. 1-532 [Jan 4 - June 28]. A VERY HEAVY book - a postage surcharge will apply to delivery destinations outside the UK mainland as this book costs more to send than our standard postage rate will cover. Small surcharge may apply to UK highlands and islands and N. Ireland; larger surcharge for overseas destinations. NO additional charges for sending within the UK mainland. 104958

30 Bunnikin - Brighteyes The Indian
Aris, Ernest (written and illustrated by) Gale & Polden Ltd [1916] London 1916 First Edition Soft cover Good Book 8vo - over 7 - 9" tall
Pictorial-paper-covered boards. Flexible boards. Date of publication not stated, but is 1916. Stapled binding - 2 staples in the spine. The staples have rusted, with corresponding rust marks around the outsides of the staples and the centre pages are slightly loosening. Some foxing and occasional thumbing marks to the pages. Some pages and illustrations have a c. half centimeter pale water-type mark to the bottom edge. The colour illustrations are otherwise in nice clean condition. A gift inscription inside the front cover reads, 'Joyce, with best love from Daddy, Xmas 1917'. No other writing inside. The boards are generally rubbed and creased. Overall, a fairly good example of this charming and scarce Ernest Aris title. 302793
