Corlett, William Thomas Charles C Thomas Springfield and Baltimore 1935 First Edition Hardcover Good Fair Book 8vo - over 7 - 9" tall Signed by Other
From the personal library of SMITH ELY JELLIFFE and signed by him on the front pastedown and on the title page. Smith Ely Jelliffe (1866-1945) was an eminent American physician, psychiatrist and early psychoanalyst. From 1902 he owned and edited the Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease and in 1913 he was founder of Psychoanalytic Review. He was regular correspondent of Freud and Jung and was one of the earliest proponents of Freudian theory in the United States. Original red boards, slightly bowed and with minor bruising to the spine ends and bumps to the top corners. Some light orange colour transfer to the bottom edge of the pastedowns, from the dust jacket. A date stamp on the front endpaper, of December 12 1935. Foredges and bottom edge are deckled / untrimmed. Some very light foxing to plates. Binding is firm and pages otherwise clean. Hinges very good. pp. ix, 369. 24cm. The dust jacket is worn and torn, faded and has some marks and chips and long tears. Dust jacket not price clipped. The dust jacket is supplied by us in a loose protective clear archival film sleeve. This does not adhere to the book or jacket in any way and protects the jacket against wear. HEAVY book - a postage surcharge will apply to orders with a delivery address outside the UK mainland, as this book costs more to send than our standard postage rate will cover. NO extra charges for delivery within the UK mainland; small charge likely for highlands, islands and N. Ireland. Like most of our stock, we have this book at a lower price in our N.
