Complete 4 volume set but lacks slipcase. Volumes I and II are in very good condition; Volumes III and IV are in near fine condition. None have any previous owner's names, inscriptions or other marks. Volumes I and II have a very slight forwards lean to the spine and a few very light handling marks to the outer closed textblock edges - very light and the pages themselves are clean but textblock edges are not quite as bright as Volumes III and IV. pp. xxxvii, 644; xv, 420; viii, 480; xvii, 488. Printed on Grovesnor Book Wove paper and bound in quarter purple buckram with printed boards.
