This is an ex-county library reference copy, in a study library binding of twentieth-century cloth. Has the usual library marks to the spine of the boards and inside. This is a good copy and complete, though it has had some repairs over the years, probably when re-bound by the county library. Some discolouration / foxing to plates, some short tears to a few plates at the margins and a few pages. One plate, VI, has been trimmed and re-backed. With the exception of the frontispiece (plate XIII) the remainder of the plates are all bound together at the back of the book. 26 plates in total, complete. The binding is a bit weak around the middle of the book and one leaf, p. 409-10 is coming loose (still just attached at present). A couple of pages have a dark stain to the top edge of the margins, pp. 389-392. Some pages in the chapter on botany in the neighbourhood have pen and pencil marks. This is a good and solid copy of the now very scarce definitive history of Banbury. pp. xvi, 668, [26] plates. PLEASE NOTE this is a very heavy book.
