  1.   Some Account of the Life of Richard Wilson, Esq. R.A., with Testimonies to his Genius and Memory, and Remarks on his Landscapes. To which are added, various observations respecting the pleasure and advantages to be derived from the study of nature and the fine arts.

Half leather, red morocco, patterned red and black cloth boards. The spine and corners have been renewed in matching red morocco, with original binding overlaid. Marbled endpapers and page edges. Inner hinges neatly repaired with marbled paper (a close match to the original). Ex- Cheltenham Public Library copy - gilt number stamped at the base of the spine, remnants of some pasted labels on the front pastedown and endpaper (minor residue). There are small round purple library stamps to several pages. A nineteenth-century bookplate on the front pastedown. Very heavy foxing to the frontispiece portrait. Sporadic foxing throughout. Ink and pencil library shelf numbers written on the reverse of the title page. Some rubs, with chips to the cloth, to the board edges. Small piece torn away from the top corner of p. 137 (margin only). Note written in pencil in the bottom margin of p.4. Printed by A. & R.
