Bound in publisher's original red cloth. Both spines faded, with minor bumps to spine ends and corners. Some light marks to the boards. Some light pencil annotation in both volumes (not extensive). Previous owner's name, address, mention of a prize and date on the f.e.p. of each volume. Blackwells bookseller's ticket on each pastedown. Surface cracks to the paper of each of the interior hinges, both volumes. pp. xii, 539; 475 + publisher's list 8pp. Gilt stamped Oxford college emblem to each of the front boards.
